Minecraft Building Resources

This page collects a few practical resources for Minecraft builders who want to plan shapes and coordinates before spending time in-game.

The main workflow is simple: plan the shape first, build the outline, check it from above, and only then fill, decorate, or stack layers.

Circle and Dome Planning

Round Minecraft builds are hard to make by eye because every curve is built from square blocks. For towers, domes, arenas, plazas, and round rooms, it helps to generate the circle layout before placing blocks.

Nether Portal Coordinates

Nether travel uses an 8:1 coordinate ratio between the Overworld and the Nether. If you build first and calculate later, portals can connect to the wrong location.

Seed Map Planning

If you already know your seed, a seed map can help you locate villages, biomes, ancient cities, strongholds, and other structures before exploring manually.
